The amount of effort devoted to a program "before" recording begins directly correlates to the quality and effectiveness of the end product.
Scripts are blocked to identify and link a scene number to each shot. This allows us to accurately track each shot, which can be a challenging task considering that most productions are recorded out of sequence.
To keep projects on schedule and within budget, we choose the most efficient recording order. We also visit (scout) each recording location in advance to preplan shots, confirm the best recording order, identify staging areas, and prevent potential hazards.
With every production, we create a detailed Production Schedule that identifies the Recording location, Time of day, Shot sequence, Talent, Props, Script scene number, and Production equipment needed for each shot.
